Another Day Another Doctor

Saw the cardiologist, Dr. Virzi, today just to pull things together.  For some reason the computer system in his office issn't working, so he actually didn't have the results of the different tests.  Best laid plans.  But he is going to confer with the surgeon so that is good.  He seems to be very conscientious.

All is set for Dec 1.  Still have more pre-op tests though next week.  Is there no end.  Makes one wonder if there wasn't insurance coverage for all this, if they would think of a way to streamline it all.  Does get us out of the house , but then we are wiped out when we get home.  Is stressful, even though everyone we see is nice.

Redjeb is recovering nicely from the angiogram.  The wound they made is pretty big, and it is to be covered each day with a new large bandage.  The nurse at the hospital gave us a bag of tiny bandages when we left...Go figure.

David S gave us a ride to the doctor today.  He wanted to wait around to pick us up, but one never knows with doctors when you get seen and when you finish.  And waiting around in a car in midtown is no picnic.  We did manage to get a taxi back very easily, probably because we were earlier than yesterday when they were all trying to go home and weren't picking anyone up.

Peggy,
Hopefully, Redjeb and you can now have two doctor -free days. The cost for these tests, consultations, etc must be astronomical -I can't imagine what's its like for families that experience a health crisis without having insurance. Also, those who have to go through the system on their own. Fortunately, the dems have come to the rescue and will turn things around.
Thanks very much for creating this blog - its an outstanding way to keep your family and friends up to date on how Redjeb and you are. Take very good care.

Hope things continue to go well in spite of waiting time. Marcus and DJ were thrilled to get Redjebs book. Marcus read the back cover out loud as it was pretty impressive! All my best to the multitalented patient! Leota
