Today's Report Thurs.

Well, another appointment.  This time the lung specialist to make sure everything is OK in that department.  Dr. Keller, the specialist, turns out to be a very serious nice thorough doctor.  All of the physicians that we had have to deal with via Beth Israel have been extremely nice and good.  Keller wasn't as personally friendly as some of the others and stayed to his questions, in a very organized relevant manner.  He said given that Redjeb had smoked heavily for many decades his lungs are in OK shape, not as good as they could be but good enough for the surgery.  Redjeb stopped smoking about 35 years ago, so that was seen as a plus.

I think I am in worse shape than he is.  For every question the doctor asked Redjeb re symptoms, and to which R said no, I could have raised my hand for a personal yes. Redjeb is his usual optimisitc upbeat self, although he has had to take it easy given yesterday's procedure. But that will pass in a few days.

We splurged on a taxi down there given that he had his angiogram yesterday and is to lay low for a few days.  But coming home about 4 pm was a mess.  All the cabs put on their "I'm busy lights" cause they are on their way home and did't want to go out of their way.  Even though R is not to walk too much, we ended up taking a bus cross town to Third Ave from Park, and then after a while were able to convince a cab to drive us north.  Such is life in New York.

Tomorrow is the appointment with the cardiologist again, to pull all the tests and appointments together.
