Our visits from Juanita for drawing blood will be reduced to once a week, as the levels are good.
One annoying thing is that those at the hospital neglected to remove some stitches from where a tube went in. The doctor seemed quite annoyed with this, and Redjeb has to go to the hospital for an outpatient procedure tomorrow. There was a lot of slippage and poor communication in that cardiology unit where he was, so doesn't surprise me. The hospital has a good reputation, and when years ago he was there for a hip surgery, things went well. But that unit is something else. But I will take a chapter from Redjeb and not dwell on it...just move on and do what has to be done.
Just finished some delicious hot chocolate made by Lief Anne Stiles, Jeanie and David's daughter. For those of you who know that we search the globe for the best hot chocolate I can only say that she is in the running for sure.
Speaking of Jeanie & David Stiles, we watched a CD movie the other eve called Obscene. It is opening commercially in theaters. David is in that movie near the end, and he does well. The movie probably won't be an overall success, but will appeal to those of a certain age who remember the days of Grove Press' publishing Lady Chatterley's Lover and Henry Miller's Tropic of Cancer. I was of the age then to know that I was supposed to read those books, as they came out (or were smuggled from Europe). Not sure if I liked them, but read them anyway. I knew there were court cases, but I wasn't aware of all that had to go on behind the scenes to get them published in the US--the protector of morals. The movie is about the publisher Barney Rossett and shows a lot of the history of those times and how he managed to fight and get censorship lifted. Now we just take a lot of these things as givens, but back in the 50s and 60s there was a lot of censorship. I will not get into a political rant on this blog, but just to tell you to go see David's movie debut. He looks great and does a fine job interviewing Barney. Netflix has the movie if you can't get to see it in your local theater.
All went well with the weather today. Wasn't so bad at all.

Interesting blog and glad that Redjeb had a good checkup today. Also glad you got to see David's movie debut about Barney Rossett. Keep in mind that he also was responsible for getting Beckett, Pintar, Ionesco and Octavio Paz published. I think he really published anyone that was unable to get a publisher back then. I'll tell Lief Anne you liked her hot chocolate. Did you try the scones? I think they are the best! Good to get your posting!
Jeanie
Barney Rossett published anyone who couldn't get a publisher? Hey, I could use somebody like that.
